Successful lottery funding for your SU!

USSU is delighted to announce that we've secured National Lottery Funding to help Salford students during the Cost-Of-Living Crisis!

This funding is set to make a significant impact by offering hot meals at the USSU Wellbeing Hub and providing drop-in services for academic advice, housing assistance, and overall wellbeing support.

The Government’s Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund is being delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK. Grants will support charities and community organisations in England at the frontline of dealing with the increase in the cost-of-living.

In addition to these essential services, the funding will also cover free hygiene products, including period products and toiletries, to ensure that Salford Students have access to necessary items without financial strain.

Research has shown that 47% of students have stopped or reduced their socialising due to the cost-of-living crisis, so come and join USSU in the Wellbeing Hub for refreshments, food, and a place to catch up with friends and even make new connections. Check out our events to see when the next Community Hub event is happening.
