Question Your Candidates

21st February 2011 11:07 am

If you need a bit of help deciding who to vote for in the Students' Union Elections, why not put a question to the candidates?

On Thursday 24 February the Debating Society will be hosting a debate for all candidates for the President and Vice President positions from 6pm – 9pm at Lady Hale Building. This will be a unique opportunity to hear the candidates give short speeches, and then debate on issues and topics raised by the audience. Questions can be submitted in advance by emailing USSUDebating@gmail.com  before midday on Wednesday 23 February. Make sure you come along and hear what the candidates have to say!

As well as the debate, an Online Candidates Question Time, where the candidates are filmed responding to questions that have been posed by students will be available on the website from the start of voting. If you have a particular issue or concern you’d like the candidates’ opinion on, or if you’d just like to know more about their plans, you can pose a question by emailing elections-ussu@salford.ac.uk  by 9am on 23 February.

How to Vote
Voting opens at 4pm on Friday 25 February and closes at 4pm on Thursday 3 March. It’s even easier to vote this year – simply login to Blackboard and follow the link to ‘Vote in the Students’ Union elections’.
