The University Of Salford Students' Union

In order to gather feedback and opinion on issues facing students, Student Council convenes three forums each semester.  The forums will be built around three themes:

Better Union: Discussion of and seeking feedback on issues relating to the Union's services and activities, principally Student Activities, Student Media, and Commercial Services. The forum could also discuss and seek feedback on issues such as Union democracy, membership connections and engagement, and marketing and communications.

Better University: Discussion of and seeking feedback on issues relating to the University’s provision of an excellent student experience. This should principally concern issues related to the academic experience but could also involve the provision and delivery of non-academic services such as accommodation, careers, catering, etc.

Better City: Discussion of and seeking feedback on issues relating to the management of relationships with the City of Salford and the local community. This should cover, but not be limited to, community representation, environmental impact, student behaviour, student housing, transport / commuting.

There will be one of each of these three forums each semester (dates below), convened by Student Council members but open to ALL STUDENTS.  Notes and recommendations from the forums will be reported back to Student Council so that any changes/improvements/campaign ideas can be implemented.
