International Students
As an international student studying at University there are many things that you will have to deal with, these may include getting to grips with:

keeping in touch with your relatives

managing financially,

applying for, understanding and working within your visa
It’s important that you read your student handbook given to you at your induction so that you are clear about what is expected of you as part of your course. If you don't have a copy of this or you missed the induction contact your tutor.
The Students' Union Advice Centre is able to represent and support international students who are experiencing difficulties with the University. In particular, if you are experiencing financial difficulties associated with your fees, on academic related issues (e.g. unfair means). Please get in touch if you would like some more information
Making Friends
If you are looking to make some friends, start or continue your favoriate hobby or sport you could take a look at the range of Student Activities at the Students' Union.
You may also
be interested in the International Society an independent, not-for-profit organisation unique to the city of Manchester. It aims to provide international students with a warm and friendly welcome when they arrive and to make their time in the UK a wonderful experience. You can book onto trips through the Society direct or by visiting the Student Life front desk in University House.
