The Students’ Union Advice Centre provides independent, friendly, professional advice that works.

The service is independent of the University and we can advise on a range of academic related issues, be it academic appeals, personal mitigating circumstances, disciplinary issues, complaints etc.

We operate an open door policy but we do encourage students to make an appointment if they wish to avoid waiting. In addition, we have a dedicated website which students can e-mail their queries and except for the weekends, we do try to respond within 48 hours.

If we cannot resolve your problem we will always (if we are able to) refer you to alternative organisation/department.

The advice centre is open Mon to Friday from 9-4pm except on Fridays when we close at 12:30pm.
